TZM molybdenum alloy refers to an aluminum alloy containing 0.4~0.6% (wt) of titanium, 0.08~0.12% (wt) of zirconium and 0.02~0.03% (wt) of carbon, also known as molybdenum-titanium-zirconium alloy. Both titanium and zirconium play a role in solid solution strengthening and carbide dispersion strengthening in the alloy, and the composite titanium-zirconium carbide is more stable at high temperatures than individual titanium carbide, so TZM molybdenum alloy has better high-temperature strength and higher recrystallization temperature.
